This compelling story begins on June 6, 1944 when Corporal Paul Pinski of the 101st Airborne Division is killed in action after he covers a hand grenade with his body during the D-Day Invasion. At the same time in Highlandtown, the blue-collar section of east Baltimore, Paul’s wife Lucy gives birth to their first child who learns at an early age the benefits associated with limited competition. Drama is found on every page of this story as the Dexter-type anti-hero follows his natural instincts that lead him down a road to success paved with the bodies of his rivals.

Here's to Ed Ciesielski for his first book being a hit. In Sheep's Clothing tells an excellent story of life in Maryland from WW2 until the early 90's. Ed describes life and death in real terms and hit politics in Maryland right on the head. I found it entertaining reading and particularly like the segment on Prince George's County. This is more than just a murder mystery its a lot of history and fiction based on the way it was back in the day. Go get "em" ED.Product details

In Sheep Clothing eBook Edward P Ciesielski Reviews
I picked up In Sheep's Clothing as just another book, but found that I "wolfed it down" in a short time. The story weaves itself easily through time as the main character moves through situations where the reader may identify and even express "understanding" for his committing terrible deeds. I have found myself thinking about the story multiple times since completing the reading and wondering if in real life... if we have such a wolf among us.
Ed hits it out of the park (Memorial Stadium) on his first novel.
I thought I knew how twisted local politics could be in Maryland,
but Ed brings more intrigue and excitement to it then I thought possible.
The local color and references brought back fond memories.
Thanks for a great read Ed. Looking forward to more.
In Sheep's Clothing has kept my attention from the first paragraph to the last page. Ed is a brilliant author that knows how to capture my imagination with excellent visual descriptions. The entire book played out like a movie in my mind. It's an extremely talented author that can accomplish that... the last book that comes to mind with such vivid visuals is "Cold Mountain". In Sheep's Clothing will also make a great movie. Some of the scenes in the story are indelible in my mind; I can't wait for the sequel.
I was very pleasantly supprised when I read Ed Ciesielski's book "In Sheep's Clothing." I was aware that Ed had been working on a book for some time and while I looked forward to reading it, I had no idea that the book would be so outstanding. From the first page I was hooked and could hardly put the book down. When the story line worked its way to Prince George's County Maryland and our police department I was taken back to so many good times and gut wrenching incidents that shaped,to some degree, my aduld life and those of my associates! Grand job Ed, thank you for an outstanding effort! I very much look forward to your next book.
I thoroughly enjoyed reading "In Sheep's Clothing." As a longtime Maryland resident the references to landmarks and actual events added enjoyment to the intriguing life adventures of a villainous hero. It's one of those entertaining reads where you can't put the book down. If you have enjoyed the works of Patterson or Sandford, you will certainly enjoy this book by Ed Ciesielski.
"In Sheep's Clothing," inspired by real life encounters, is a chilling look into the life & mind of Alec, a young man who knows what he wants & uses any means to get it. The story follows Alec along his path to success, detailing his experiences with the fortunate & sometimes unfortunate people he encounters.
The compelling, emotional & grisly scenes make this book hard to put down. An example would be the bank robbery scene, it pulled me in and made my heart race! I also love the way the characters are woven throughout the story, resurfacing in unexpected ways. A thrilling page turner. Not only am I looking forward to the sequel, but more novels from Edward Ciesielski.
Ed, I have never been much of a book reader. Since I would lose interest, I cannot say that about your book. In Sheep's Clothing is my favorite book. I found it hard to put down. I sure loved the story and the local landmarks is an added bonus. I moved to Laurel Maryland in Prince George's County as a young kid and remember when Governor Wallace was shot at the shopping center. I worked in and around that shopping center in the early eighties. I agree with all the positive reviews here and cannot think of one thing I would change with this story. You covered a bunch of ground and time yet told such a great story I feel like I knew the characters. You are an accomplished author up there with the best of them. I have and will continue to recommend your book to all. I can hardly wait for the sequel.
